Upcoming Meeting | at Diya Lounge, 43 Rockaway Avenue Valley Stream, NY 11580 (516) 872-2223 . Our Guest Speaker will be Ms. Joy Watson, a candidate for the Nassau county District Attorney. Joy Watson is Principal Law Clerk to Justice Karen V. Murphy of the Nassau County Supreme Court. Prior to her current position, she served as a Nassau County Assistant District Attorney for nearly twenty years under District Attorney Denis Dillon. Her positions included Chief of the Sex Offense and Domestic Violence Bureau and Deputy Chief of the Major Offense Bureau where she was named Special Prosecutor in the high profile case. Join us to learn more about Ms. Watson. Meeting will provide extended Networking opportunity for our members to engage fully with others re their respective services. Also, an open forum will be held for members to participate and provide their input with regards to the programs and activities they would like to see. Classic Indian Hors d’oeuvres will be served during an open networking hour. A stellar traditional Indian cuisine dinner will follow with more opportunity for networking.
Contribution of $40 per person includes cocktails, dinner and an extraordinary business networking opportunity. Bring lots of business cards and brochures.

Garden City, NY - ICCNY members and guests gathered at The Akbar Restaurant & Catering in Garden City, NY, for the Feb 28th meeting of the Indian Chamber of Commerce. After open networking and socializing, an engaging speaker enlightened the membership on the topic of identity theft and how to prevent it.
The food was sumptuous at The Akbar Restaurant & Catering and the service was even better. Members were impressed with the level of attentive servive and quality of food and cocktails. In order to vary our venue, next month's meeting will be held in Valley Stream at DIYA lounge & banquet.
In an introduction by the ICCNY President, Nilesh Kadakia, edified the featured speaker, Mr. James Reed as a sought after speaker, and credited him with raising millions of dollars for worthy causes, earning him numerous awards and citations. More...
January 30th, Meeting
The ICCNY held its January Networking Dinner and membership meeting January 30th in Garden City NY at The Akbar Restaurant. In the extended networking hour connections were made between the new and longstanding members and guests, as all enjoyed the open bar and appetizers buffet and passed traditional hors d’oeuvres.

Our December ICCNY meeting featured a presentation on "What You Really Need to Know...About Long Term Care Insurance." Our guest speaker was Adam D. Cline, Certified Senior Advisor with Forest Hills Financial Group. Mr Cline educated the membership and guests about key elements of long term care insurance: Components, Benefit Triggers, Methods of Benefit Payment and Riders. Lack of this important coverage can wipe out our retirement plans in just a few years, cautioned Mr. Cline. His commendable goal is to make a difference on Long Island: nobody's estate or legacy should be lost to a long term illness.

At our previous meeting in October, guest speakers Mr. Deep Singh & Mr. Paresh Shah, Financial Advisors from Forest Hills Fianancial Group, demonstrated a powerful financial and personal organization tool called the Living Balance Sheet. Events
The ICCNY Membership Meeting for July took place at DIYA Banquet & Lounge in Valley Stream, on Wednesday, July 30th. Speaker TBA.
Networking hour started at 7:00. Attendees met new members & renewed relationships, enjoying hot hors d'oeuvres and cool beverages. Sumptuous dinner of Indian entrees followed guest speaker, meeting and announcements. Traditional coffees, teas & desserts were included in $40.00 donation.
Next meeting, bring extra of business cards for the new contacts you will meet.
