April 25, 2007 - The Indian Chamber of Commerce New York recently held another successful Networking Dinner at the Akbar Restaurant in Garden City. 150-plus friends of the Chamber attended and enjoyed traditional Indian fare, friendship, participated in networking and heard from guest speaker John L. "Jack" Costello, supporter of the ICCNY.
John L. Costello , retired as First Deputy Commissioner of the Nassau County Police Department in August 2002 after 34 years of service. Mr. Costello is a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy, the Secret Service School of Diplomat Protection and holds a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. In addition, Mr. Costello has provided security services for major national and international sporting events.
The topics covered included personal insights into security team responses to large events in New York and around the world that Mr. Costello has directed - both pre- and post September 11, 2001.
Mr. Costello pledged support of the ICCNY, the Indian Community at large, and all segments of local citizens in the ongoing efforts to personal security, privacy and freedom from beauracratic red tape.
Mr. Matthew Brady, Director of Investigations for Summit Security Services, and long time colleague of Mr. Costello, also invited all inquiries for security information and reference checks to the ICCNY membership and the business community, when he shared information with the members.
