ICCNY Networking Dinner - October 31st, 2007
Event Photos Valley Stream, NY - More than 45 ICCNY members and guests gathered at Diya Restaurant, Lounge & Banquet in Valley Stream, NY, for the October 31st meeting of the Indian Chamber of Commerce. After open networking and socializing, three engaging speakers enlightened the membership on topics ranging from culturally enhanced elder care to high-tech number crunching for planning retirement and goals strategies, with a digital twist. The food was sumptuous at Diya Restaurant and the service was even better. Members were impressed with the level of attentive servive and quality of food and cocktails. It was unanimously decided to have Diya Lounge and Restaurant host our next networking dinner on December 5th.
Note: There will be no meeting in November due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
The first guest speaker, Dr. Vasu Kalasupadi, spoke about an organization she has formed, with the help of friends, called India Home.
"Our goal is to make a difference in the quality of life for Indian senior citizens and people with special needs by providing quality care in a culturally sensitive, Indian environment." explained Dr Kalasupadi.
Guest speakers Mr. Deep Singh & Mr. Paresh Shah, Financial Advisors from Forest Hills Fianancial Group, demonstrated a powerful financial and personal organization tool called the Living Balance Sheet. This program is offered FREE to all active members of the Indian Chamber.

Great news to report for 2008! We are pleased to inform you that Indian Chamber of Commerce of New York has been approved as an Association Group with Berkshire Life Insurance Company.
All active members as well as their spouses, children, parents and grandparents are eligible for the group discount, 10% of premium, when they buy Long Term Care insurance.
As recommended by our past ICCNY guest speaker, Adam Cline, Certified Senior Advisor, with Forest Hills Financial Group, an educated viewpoint can observe that lack of this important coverage can wipe out your retirement plans in just a few years, so the ICCNY discount is terrific news.
